CM MACCHINE
END-MILLING MACHINE
-FT 400 MODEL -
CM Macchine has designed and built the FT400 end milling/milling machine for end milling and milling parquet elements of different lengths, to then obtain a precision tongue and groove joint.
It is possible to choose various models by customizing the operating motors, which can be 2, 4 or 6.

MODEL COMPOSITION
The FT 400 milling machine consists of:
MACHINE STRUCTURE
FT400 has a cross facing/milling unit on a sliding carriage on high precision prismatic guides.
The machine is equipped with an automatic pneumatic transversal stroke and a double working group to simultaneously work the front and rear ends of 2 parquet planks (front male and female rear, or vice versa).
There is a micrometric adjustment of the work shafts, with "SIKO" type digital displays, a central belt for moving the milled pieces after each work cycle. The vertical shafts have a diameter of 30 mm, the vertical tools a maximum diameter of 160 mm, and finally the horizontal tools a maximum diameter of 250 mm.
Finally, the piece positioning stops are micrometrically adjustable.
ENGINE CUSTOMIZATION
It is possible to customize the engines of the mod. FT400.
MACHINE WITH 2 OPERATING ENGINES, arranged as follows:
- 1 vertical shaft for joint cutter - 6000 rpm (right side)
- 1 vertical shaft for joint cutter – 6000 rpm (left side)
MACHINE WITH 4 OPERATING ENGINES, arranged as follows:
- 1 horizontal shaft for circular saw blades - 6000 rpm (right side)
- 1 vertical shaft for joint cutter - 6000 rpm (right side)
- 1 horizontal shaft for circular saw blades - 6000 rpm (left side)
- 1 vertical shaft for joint cutter – 6000 rpm (left side)
MACHINE WITH 6 OPERATING ENGINES, arranged as follows:
- 2 overlapping horizontal shafts, for circular saw blades for trimming and engraving - Kw 4, 6000 rpm (right side)
- 1 vertical shaft for joint cutter - 6000 rpm (right side)
- 2 overlapping horizontal shafts, for circular saw blades for trimming and engraving - Kw 4, 6000 rpm (left side)
- 1 vertical shaft for joint cutter – 6000 rpm (left side)
THE PHASES IN DETAIL
WORKING PROCESS
The working procedure of the FT 400 milling machine consists of four phases:
1. Insert the first piece of parquet on the input feed belt; it is then positioned automatically by the lateral pistons and by the stop mounted on the working unit, then it is blocked by the upper pistons.
2. The working group carries out the facing and milling on the front part of the first piece; it then automatically switches to the other side of the machine and is automatically positioned for facing and milling the back side. Simultaneously the second workpiece is placed in the feed belt and clamped in place at the front of the machine.
3. The working group begins a new work cycle by trimming and milling the two sides of the two inserted pieces.
4. At this point a finished piece comes out.
